(8) magnifying make-up mirror (9) clothes line in the shower area (9) USB outlet in the bedroom When the thick sliding room dividing wall is closed, leave it open a crack to get some lighting in the room when sleeping and the two night lights guide your way to the bathroom in the middle of the night without disturbing others sleeping in your room. (7) light switches on the wall for nightlights in the toilet stall and under the bathroom vanity. I've stayed in rooms before where the ceiling fan was over the suite area instead of the bed and provided no benefit when sleeping. (6) Ceiling fan directly over the bed provides extra cooling/air flow. The double vanity has a long skinny drawer in the center underneath where you can keep items that don't need to be out on the counter. You'll find shelves/cubbies/dressing bench in the bathroom. (5) Has the most shelving, drawers, and storage areas I've ever seen for your clothing, toiletries, incidentals, and suitcases. We slept with absolutely no disturbances. (4) In addition, the air conditioner has a consistent air flow noise that further masks any outside noise. (3) There's a heavy sliding door that closes off that hallway entrance from the bedroom suite that further buffers any outside noise. The room's layout design buffers any potential noise that may be coming from the hallway since you enter the room into a hallway that contains a double vanity and long closet, with a separate room to the side for the shower/toilet/dressing room. Generally I've seen only standard size pillows, regardless of the bed size. I was also amazed that they actually had king-size pillows on a king bed. Rooms: (1) Most comfortable firm beds and plush pillows I've experienced ever at a resort. We noticed others following our lead we had started a trend. Suggestion: Move your chair close to the vegetation for some shade and turn your chair around to face the buildings instead of the water, which you can't see anyways because of the lush vegetation. They need to add sun umbrellas or more trees near the loungers. Only thing missing, though, is shade when you're not in the water. The water park is on the Dream's property and was the highlight of our trip. Preferred had an exclusive section on the beach (location closest to the buffet), an exclusive pool, and a separate buffet dining area adjacent to the general buffet dining area, but it's really not necessary unless you like to be pampered and don't mind paying extra. Preferred rooms were closer to the beach and pool (but the property isn't that large). You really don't need to upgrade to a preferred room with butler service to enjoy this property or have a great vacation. Plus, it's a very short walk between the two properties, so why not relax in quiet serene surroundings and then go to the other resort if/when seeking more excitement. Breathless was more geared towards partying adults and noise, and we were on vacation for relaxation. I'm so glad I chose Dreams based on the reviews. Since Dreams Onyx shares with Breathless and the cost was about the same for either, I had the choice of staying at an all-adult resort (Breathless) or a family resort (Dreams). The reviews I read online about how wonderful this resort is are spot-on.
